ATOWA is a unique African restaurant that has a unique menu that is unlike any other restaurant in White River. The unique restaurant is owned by visionary Chris Welthagen and run and managed by experienced hotel and restaurant manager Wayne Blake.
The name ATOWA is an abbreviation of “A Taste Of Wild Africa” and the dining experience definitely lives up to its name. The African style menu serves meat that you wont easily find in any other restaurant in Nelspruit or White River. The Traditional African meals on this wild menu are subject to availability as the restaurant sticks to the Wild African style and is dedicated to being ethical.
ATOWA’s theme, style and concept are all thanks to the inspiration of a restaurant found in Nairobi, Kenya, that served a variety of wild meats.
ATOWA serves delicious and homemade meals from warm roosterkoek served with jam and rich butter, delicious African style, household favourite Pap and Sheba, to delicious meats like impala, bush pig and kudu, all prepared as the main course. Guests are all in for a true wonderful time African experience.
Luckily ATOWA serves tamer meat like beef, chicken and lamb for those who aren’t interested in venison.
